Terrey Mills Launches ‘Visitor On Earth’

Take a step back from the world of Kardashian-West-Jenner, and you might find Kanye West’s esteemed design collaborator. Having worked for major fashion labels like Von Dutch and Ed Hardy, designer Tracey Mills has launched his own clothing label, ‘Visitor On Earth’.

Having worked on a range of projects from Kanye’s OG launch in Paris to the more recent Yeezy collections with Adidas, Mills has been behind the clothing that’s taken the internet by storm. In 2014, Tracey Mills launched his first unisex label, Venus x Mars, worn by the likes of Rihanna, Future, and P. Diddy. Back at it again, Mills has celebrated the launch of his new brand.

The designer has officially launched Visitor On Earth, following a Kanye West twitter endorsement, encouraging his millions of followers to visit the site. The brand offers a range of wearable, unisex streetwear, similar to the neutral-coloured, loose-cut pieces we have seen in Kanye West’s Yeezy collection. The first chapter includes logo less, futuristic pieces in earth-inspired tones, featuring: cotton T-shirts, a ¾ sleeve crewneck sweatshirt, elasticated waxed cotton pants, a hoodie with open sides and double D-ring straps, as well as a lightweight quilted jacket (available soon).

The brands mission statement reads:
“Visitor On Earth aims to unfold the truth of oneness through a common uniform. Our unisex uniforms defy the separateness of sex, race, creed, and gender identity. Our colour palette connects to the elements that form our universe. Our silhouettes are timeless and can be worn by any generation– past, present and future.”

The designer was looking for a solo venture, to take him out of his comfort zone, and explore fashion design under his own direction. “But I didn’t want to have to work for someone else and work on their vision,” he adds. “I still do that—I consult with Kanye, Rihanna, and have my consulting company Beyond Mars—but I wanted to do my own thing.” Mills made his collection available for online purchase only, in an attempt to avoid being dictated by buyers, retailers and a fashion calendar.

He says, “I want to be a voice for kids who don’t love themselves and let them know you will come out of this and do whatever it is you desire.”
