It’s weird to think that these were the reckless men rocking mullets, breaking equipment and running amok causing a little bit too much trouble. Now, Sticky Fingers have cleaned up their act  (still maintaining the beauty of chopped mullets), producing dark lyrics that reflect on various turmoils within the band. Although the band’s laid back ‘by the pool’ sound remains, Westway (The Glitter and the Slums) is an album bound to please old and bring in a swell of new fans.

The opening and strongest track ‘One By One’ could easily be mistaken for an Arctic Monkeys tune, but the smooth and polished vocals set the tone for the 11 track album. Touching on rehab, breakups and loneliness, Sticky Fingers have approached Westway with stronger musicianship and better vocals fueled with synths and high falsettos.
