Once again, Lady Gaga will be working alongside Ryan Murphy in the third season of American Crime Story which revolves around the murder of Gianni Versace in 1997.

Gaga, who’s feature in American Horror Story: Hotel has won her the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Limited Series, and is about to star in AHS: Roanoke, has once again promised us another exciting role as fashion designer Donatella Versace in Versace/Cunanan: American Crime Story.

Rolling Stones had reported that the third season will go into production early 2017, with it to be set during the 1997 murder of Gianni Versace and the suicide of his killer, Andrew Cunanan, who had killed himself only 8 days later.

Cunanan’s motives are still unknown as to why he had targeted Versace and he had also murdered at least five other victims over a three-month killing spree.

As for the role of Donatella Versace, it was suggested at LA’s Popfest in October that Gaga would be “the perfect Donatella”, Ryan Murphy responded with: “You think?”

Not only are Gaga and the Italian designer close friends, they have a strong work and personal relationship that the public have observed over the years. They walked the red carpet together at the MET Gala 2016, Donatella had chosen Gaga to star in Versace’s Spring 2014 ad campaign and Gaga had recorded a tribute (“Donatella”) to the fashion designer in 2013 for her Artpop album.

It is no lie that Lady Gaga will bring a stunning justice to playing as Donatella, and we cannot wait to see the end result on our TV screens.
