Miu Miu’s newly released SS17 campaign, “Suddenly Next Summer” is going to have those of us stuck in frosty winter wonderland in the Northern Hemisphere dreaming of tropical beaches and those of us in the Southern hitting the closest beach asap.
Shot by prolific British shutterbug, Alasdair McLellan, the campaign features modelling mainstays Carolyn Murphy, Karen Elson and Lara Stone, as well as new talent like Elsa Brisinger, Birgit Kos, Sonia Ben Ammar and Ellen Rosa. Leading the way to the beach is 20th Century Women and Neon Demon star, Elle Fanning who also posed for Miu Miu in 2014.
This gang of beach babes conjures up images of retro summers – reclining on sun loungers, laying in the warm sand, sun kissed skin and fun in the surf. The collection adds to those retro vibes, with 50s inspired high-cut bathing suits, floral-embellished structured bathing caps and colourful coats.
