BØRNS Covers “I Touch Myself” By The Divinyls

Dreamboat and psychedelic pop musician, Garrett Borns, better known as BØRNS, has recently been in Australia and gave us the gift we never knew we needed. The LA-based artist stopped by in Sydney on Australia Day to cover the Divinyls’ classic track “I Touch Myself” – and we haven’t been the same since!

Listen to the cover, which includes bloopers below.

The original song was released in 1990 by the Australian band The Divinyls and has since become a canticle tribute to the liberation of female sexuality.

BØRNS released his debut studio album Dopamine in 2015, leaving hearts to melt everywhere from the outset of the opening ballad, where he croons, “all I need is you”. Not to forget the track “Electric Love,” the perfect addition to your Summer playlist. The album is fun and upbeat and has even gotten a nod from Taylor Swift.

Besides this stunning performance, he recently released the official video clip for the song “American Money”. The Lorde-inspired anthem has a dreamy, baroque, yet modern and visual theme to sweep you into an epic love story.

BØRNS has also become a style icon with his eye for conceptual design and fearless style. He has even caught the attention of Alessandro Michele, creative director for Gucci, who he has since befriended and collaborated with.

In case you didn’t already like BØRNS as much as we do, you should know that he was a professional magician at the tender age of 10 going by the name of “Garrett the Great.” – Truly adorable!

You can listen to Dopamine on Spotify or purchase it on iTunes now!
