Kate Moss Poses Nude For W Magazine

As W magazine releases their March issue it is evident that it’s a dedication to strong women and focuses on empowering other women to be comfortable in the skin that they’re in and how to hold their own in a tough society.

Featuring household names who are in a league of their own the lineup includes: Jennifer Lopez, Donatella Versace, Jessica Chastain, Taraji P Henson and Kate Moss.

However, it’s no question that the standout from this editorial shoot is 43 year old supermodel icon Kate Moss who decided to pose nude for photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot. Oozing confidence and inner-strength Moss was the epitome of powerful women in this shoot even saying in the interview with W Magazine:

“From the beginning, photographers always got me to take my clothes off, even though I don’t like my body at all. I just had to get comfortable with being naked.”

Coming in at 5ft. 7 Kate Moss is, by industry standards shorter than your average model, yet what makes Kate great is that she never let that hold her back. Making a name for herself through her art she changed the game at sixteen with her fresh freckled face on the cover of The Face in 1990 dressed in a simple slip dress and pulling faces. Moss then went on to land Calvin Klein which ultimately shot her to fame.

This is not to say that Moss hasn’t had to overcome her fair share of criticism, she was and still is a top model in demand but there was a time that not everybody believed in her. Kate Moss discusses that her mother wasn’t always so sure that she was in the right profession stating in the interview with a light hearted nature:

“My mum said, ‘I don’t think you’re that photogenic!’”

We think it’s pretty safe to say that Kate’s look is quite obviously captivating which is one of the reasons why her career in this industry has not stopped and if this latest photoshoot is anything to go by she still is very much a force to be reckoned with.
