London and Milan FW Take It To The Streets

London and Milan Fashion week have wrapped and even though the trends on the runway were the hot topic the styles off the runway were seriously bringing the heat!

This season we are seeing two eras mixed together, think the 70s and 90s combined. I don’t know about you but I’m seeing it, I’m loving it and I’m here for it! Slogans are everywhere from tees to hooded sweaters and jackets. We love this look at FIB as it brings an easy yet cool vibe to any occasion. Fishnets are also coming in with women seen to be pairing them under distressed denim jeans, long coats and with a cute skirt or shorts to pull off an edgy chic look.

Being the season of fall, outerwear played a key role – leather jackets, bombers and coats are here to stay but with an interesting new twist. Introducing embroidery, this major fashion trend is seriously killing it! As seen in Milan Fashion week on A$AP Rocky who wore a leather Gucci jacket with embroidered dragonflies. This trend can be seen everywhere from on evening wear to a more casual look on jeans.

The 90s vibe was prominent with denim being a hot contender on the streets, think flares on jeans or if you’re after a more grunge look the baggier high-waisted mom jeans paired with boots and sneakers. Overalls and denim mini skirts have also been hot topic for both fashion weeks.

As with anything it’s all in the details. Evidently this was shown with zips, faux fur and ties making their way onto pieces of clothing. Florals are sticking around whilst the off-shoulder trend is heating up with jackets and simple button up t-shirts now being made to sit loosely just off of the shoulder. Earrings were big and bold while socks played a more subtle role with some trend-setters sporting printed socks with heels, sneakers and boots.

Colour blocking was an obvious trend on the streets of both cities as bloggers and fashionistas were seen to made bold statements with their colour choices, some dyed their hair blue or pink while others were seen to pair bright red boots with blue coats or standing out in the crowd in a vibrant pink coat. Patterns also played a key role in bringing outfits to life as checks and stripes were a keen component in this season’s fashion ‘it’ game.

We love these looks and can’t wait to see what’s on the street in Paris!
