FIB Takes You Inside the Met-Gala After Parties

The Met Gala 2017 opening night is something no one forgets. But for all its madness in debuting the perfect dress, there’s something to be said about the after-parties.

Ok. It’s not as official as the museum’s famed red carpet staircase, but the walk from the car or bus is an opportunity to showcase another look. After all, Met Gala is the Oscars of fashion. And given this year’s crazy dress code, Comme des Garçons, attendees were more than happy to slip into something more comfortable. But this didn’t mean celebs couldn’t experiment and have fun with their after-party outfits! For instance, Rihanna, one of the few guests to fully embrace the theme, slipped into a Prada pajama shirt with a feather trim and embellished sandals. The Jenners’ bared as much skin as possible, preferring the lingerie route for both portions of the evening.

This year’s after party was held at the Boom Boom Room on Top of the Standard Hotel, Monday evening. Hosted by singer Katy Perry, who wore attire similar to her avant-garde Maison Margiela Artisanal dress, the event included performers like Moretti, Margot of the Dolls and Jesse Marco. Attendees included Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, Jake Gyllenhaal, the Olsen twins, Ruby Rose and many others.

Here’s a collection of some of our favourite after party outfits!
