Donald Glover Ignites Speculation That Next Childish Gambino Album Will Be His Last

Donald Glover has ignited speculation that his musical venture Childish Gambino may soon come to an end after hinting that his next album will be the last. Fans worldwide have been left shocked and devastated but surely we should have seen this coming?

Whilst performing at the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York over the weekend, Glover closed his set with the 2016 hit Redbone before saluting the audience, “You’re in my heart, I’ll see you for the last Gambino album”.

The comment has yet to be confirmed; however, Glover has hinted in the past that Childish Gambino was merely a chapter in his creative story. In 2015, he revealed on the US Today Show “I feel like Childish Gambino is a period that should come to a close”.

With his show Atlanta expected to return to FX next year, amongst a barrage of upcoming starring roles – Spider-Man: Homecoming, The Lion King remake and the yet-to-be-named Han Solo prequel in the Star Wars franchise – it’s no wonder that his musical venture has taken a backseat in the proverbial wagon of his entrepreneurial success.
