It’s Time To Guccify Your Life With Derek Ridgers’ New Gucci Book

While Gucci has made quite a few negative appearances in the media recently, it’s time to remind you of the magic that Gucci can do. Photographer Derek Ridgers has teamed up with Alessandro Michele, the creative director for the Italian brand to create a new book that features Gucci and everything we love about it.

The book is entitled Hortus Sanitatis and is a beautiful depiction of what Gucci is known for – bold colour as well as dreamy patterns and eye-catching accessories. The book was shot in Rome by punk photographer, Derek Ridgers who has been described as being “known for his documentation of subcultures”. He captures the essence of Gucci so perfectly, really proving his ability to connect through his photos.

The book will come in a red cotton pouch displaying a skull and crossbones and will also be showcased at the Comme des Garçons Trading Museum in Paris. But for those unlucky people that don’t live in Paris to visit the iconic book, Hortus Sanitatis is available from Dover Street Market from July 5th.
