Moschino Releases a Toy and No, It’s Not For Kids

We’re not toying around here at FIB, but apparently, Moschino is. The fashion house has officially launched its first fragrance and it’s definitely not what you expect.

After a Barbie-themed 2015 Spring/Summer collection, it is clear that Jeremy Scott loves his toys.  But his creation of the fashion house’s first fragrance is something else, especially considering in order to get to the fragrance, you must decapitate this fluffy little teddy.

“The bottle pays homage to the famous Franco Moschino bear dress [from the autumn/winter 1988 collection].  As I had never seen a plush stuffed animal as a perfume bottle it seemed like all the more reason to do it,” the designer told Vogue.  “After going so far as to make the bottle an actual teddy bear I felt the packaging needed to continue the idea to push the concept all the way!”

The scent is said to be unisex which has not been done formerly by the fashion house before. It is a blend of mandarin, cardamom, and bergamot with a heart of lavender, violet petals and hawthorn and a dry down of sandalwood, vanilla, moss and acacia. As for how any of these scents and fragrance, in general, relates to teddy bears, we’re still not entirely sure?
