‘Call Me By Your Name’ Because This Carnal Trailer Made Us Forget Ours

Sony has released the first trailer for Sundance debut, Call Me By Your Name – the coming-of-age summer fling film adaptation of André Aciman’s acclaimed novel – and quick, pack your bags we’re going to Italy!

Directed by Luca Guadagnino, the film follows a teenage boy, Elio (Timothée Chalamet), as he navigates pre-college life, love and sex in what looks like a seriously gorgeous Italian summer. Elio’s professor father billets American student Oliver (Armie Hammer), whom Elio initially mocks but soon finds himself confusingly enchanted. It’s a sappy as fuck ‘80s ‘summer love’ storyline but there’s something about the sexual tension between Elio and Oliver that has us hooked.

Featuring a bold breakout performance by Timothée Chalamet, beautiful cinematography, and at least two new Sufjan Stevens tracks – Call Me By Your Name is a hot Oscar contender.

Call Me By Your Name is set to be released on the 24th of November, just in time to supplement our own (probably inexistent) summer romances.
