Festival of the Sun [FOTSUN] have proved once again to be one of the leading Aussie Music festivals, featuring artists everyone can enjoy this year, because boy-oh-boy, what a line up.

The festival features headlining acts Meg Mac (who released her incredibly well-received debut album Low Blows), Ball Park Music (who are amidst working on a new album), and The Preatures (who have just dropped their second album, Girlhood)! Not only that, tacking on artists like Horrorshow, Holy Holy, Kim Churchill, feminist advocate Ali Barter, and The Bennies, plus plenty more unearthed treasures like Dear Seattle and Press Club.

The three-day NSW regional frolic will go down across the weekend of December 7th, 8th and 9th at sunny Port Macquarie’s Breakwall Tourist Park, with the fun blasting off on Thursday night with the mighty return of the BYO Thursday Night Silent Comedy, free workshops making nifty themed stuff for the weekend, and the always open food trucks. Added to that, bands will be starting earlier this year (!), kicking off around midday rather than 4pm on Friday to slot in all the awesome acts this year.

Festival Director Simon Luke, says; “After such positive feedback on last year’s larger line-up and bigger side stage artists, we’ve continued to build FOTSUN in 2017 and are looking toward a bright future.” And with such a star-studded line up this year, you can definitely say the festival is moving in the right direction.

If you’re sensing a continuing theme of space and stars, you wouldn’t be wrong, as this year’s official theme is ‘outer space’ (Star Wars theme music plays in the background) and festival goers are encouraged to dress accordingly.

Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, 31st of August at 10 am, so get your astronaut suits assembled, camping gear set and have your best dance moves at the ready.
