DC’s box office hit Wonder Woman is a tough act to follow, and we’re wondering if Justice League is up to the task.
In case you’ve been living under a rock for a very long time, the latest film in the DC universe, Justice League, is hoping to blow The Avengers out of the water. The Justice League team has existed in comics for quite a while (since 1960, to be exact), so you could say this is one of the more anticipated releases that DC has up their sleeve.
The film is set after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, where Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince decide to create the Justice League following the death of Superman. Besides Batman and Wonder Woman, the team includes The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg. All of these characters will have their own standalone films at some point, which is another pretty damn cool revelation.
The latest trailer, titled ‘Heroes’, begins with Lois dreaming about Clark. In superhero universes, or even sci-fi in general, nobody’s really dead until they’re really dead, you know? It’s a safe bet that this is probably the case for Superman, too. It seems that a new enemy is threatening the world (because, of course) and our favourite DC heroes band together and spring into action.
I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m certainly sweating in my armour to be getting some more Wonder Woman action! To tide me over until 2019, that is.
