If it was possible to squeeze every part of a universe into one trailer, Marvel has done just that…
Avengers: Infinity War is not only about The Avengers; the worlds of Black Panther and Guardians of the Galaxy will also be intertwining for one epic conclusion to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. By ‘conclusion’, we mean that the final Avengers films are supposedly the end of an era in the Marvel universe. Not that Marvel will stop making movies, we’ll likely be dead before that comes to pass.
There are a few absences from the trailer, like Ant Man and Hawkeye, but the lineup is still pretty impressive. Everyone makes an appearance – from Tom Holland’s Spiderman and now-blonde Black Widow, to a much older Groot – overlaid with Nick Fury’s Avengers speech and the Avengers theme. The Marvel films have always been great at tying the characters together in various ways, so no doubt the same will be done here.
The trailer came out a few days ago, and it’s still trending at #1 on YouTube. It also broke the record for the most views on a trailer ever in a single day, with over 230 million views over various platforms. Let’s hope, with a prelude such as this, let’s hope the film itself lives up to the hype!
