Where Street Style Rules: A Fashion Month Roundup

If the catwalks inspire our wish lists for six months ahead, the street style is what we rush home to ‘add to cart’ the very same night. We are a generation of buyers driven by immediate gratification, and when we see something, we want it – now. And while the see-now-buy-now model is keeping things a little more relevant, there’s still chatter that the industry is broken and outdated.

So it’s no surprise that the actual catwalks of fashion week are becoming merely the backdrop to the real sartorial inspiration of the week: the street style. Fashion week coverage is taking a particular bias toward the street style shots, and we’re hopping on the instant satisfaction bandwagon because six months is too long to wait for outfits this good.

So without further ado, here are some of our favourite bookmark-worthy outfits that appeared on the sidewalk as opposed to the catwalk:

What do you think, has street style become more of a spectacle than the fashion shows themselves?
