The fashion designer and the sportswear brand‘s third collaboration is 13 pieces comprised of jackets, sweatshirts, tees, shorts and transparent ponchos, as well as the designer’s take on the brand’s football shoe which Wang dubbed the AW Bball Soccer and available in two colours.

Wang’s latest range is said to be inspired by factory rejects and quality control.

Throughout the bus trip from Los Angeles to Palm Springs, Wang and his squad used the collection pieces as forms of trade for gas, directions, and food.

The road trip was captured by photographer Brianna Capozzi and featured models like Binx Walton and Hanne Gaby Odiele enjoying pit stops along the way in gas stations, mini-marts, and a waterpark – all of which was documented on social media.

“By framing his new collection as pieces to be bartered, traded, or given away, Wang establishes new standards of fashion as commodity,” Adidas wrote in a press release.

“Something flawed, might actually be valuable.”

The third edition of the Alexander Wang x Adidas Originals collection launches on April 21 at select retailers worldwide, Adidas Originals & Alexander Wang flagship locations, and online.
