Xavier Rudd Releases New Single “Honeymoon Bay” Ahead of National Tour

Australia’s very own singer-songwriter Xavier Rudd has released his new single “Honeymoon Bay” alongside a music video that makes me want to book a trip to somewhere tropical stat. The single stems from Rudd’s ninth studio album ‘Storm Boy’, which has been achieving recent success, placing number one on the Aria charts. With all these announcements, it’s no surprise dates for Rudd’s national tour have been released.

The jovial track is a celebration of love and friendship, with Rudd demonstrating his ease and ability in crafting a feel-good acoustic track, with an uplifting chorus and serene backing vocals to suit.  Discussing the inspiration behind the single and the video, Rudd touches on the initial writing process and the influence of natures beauty and simplicity:

Honeymoon Bay reminds me of the magic of our earth. I began writing it deep In the Kimberly northwest Australia whilst viewing ancient rock art and then wrapped it up filming the clip surfing perfect waves while immersed in the beautiful culture of Fiji. Pure magic!
