The entire space spanned 2000 square feet was embroidered with bright and colourful lighting and a flight of yellow brick road staircase brings customers up into the space, that was also surrounded by an array of poppy fields and wild forests. Moreover, the land of Oz was completed by its settlers. Virgil Abloh invited Idris Elba, Rami Malek, Rita Ora and Frank Ocean to cut the metaphorical ribbon on October 19th. A number of sneakers and accessories were up for purchase at the pop-up.

Abloh, who in four years went from launching a streetwear label to heading the men’s division of the world’s biggest luxury brand, compared his journey to that of a “farmgirl from the Midwest transported to Oz, a fairy-tale land where she experiences things beyond the reach of her imagination”.
