Top Four Trailers You Missed This Week

This week the internet has been jammed full of amazing new trailers from some of our favourite upcoming movies and tv shows. It’s hard to keep up with them all so here’s a wrap up of some of the most important trailers we think you should start immediately hyping. Go!

Stranger Things 3

Our favourite band of 80s misfits are back for a summer of romance, bromance and telekinetic bad-assery. In this new season, our favourites are growing up. Eleven rocks a new Jim-Morrison hair style, Nancy is looking for a summer job and Will is crying alone. Ah, the joys of adolescence. But in between the quirky references that are just dying to convince us that 80s nostalgia is still culturally relevant, the Upside Down is evolving and trouble is afoot. I think we can expect plenty of sci-fi action sequences and sentimental moments from this new season when it premiers on July 4th.

Avengers: End Game

After a never-ending slew of teasers, the trailer for the follow up to Avengers: Infinity War is here. It’s time to dust-off (too soon?) those Avenger-suits and fight for…something? Our heroes are noticeably, and understandably, melancholy; the world has changed forever and they’re all struggling to move forward. But Black Widow and Hawkeye have some new fun hairstyles so that’s nice. I guess we’ll have to wait until April 26th to see how Thanos is doing with that cute farm he had in Infinity War.

Toy Story 4

The trailer for the newest instalment of Toy Story is here and it’ll have you asking: What is my purpose? Why do I exist? What gives my life meaning? And is this sequel really necessary? No matter what you think about the Pixar’s latest money grab, it’s impossible to watch this trailer without smiling. Woody is back and going through the occasional existential crisis, Bo Peep is a bad-ass and a new toy called Forky promises to shake things up. There’s lots to unpack but we’ve done the hard work for you in a longer piece we wrote on it here.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 2

Sabrina is back and destined to lead a one-woman revival of Goth fashion. I don’t know what Hot Topic is, but I have a feeling they sponsored this entire trailer. It’s basically a high-def Billie Eilish video that has sprinkled a heavy dose of satanic horror onto the basic coming-of-age narrative. Sabrina struts the halls of the Academy of Unseen Arts with all our favourites from the first season. She’s embraced her powers, and her new BFF Satan and those boys from the first season are quaking. Tune in April 5th on Netflix for the witching-hour.

Honourable mentions go to Game of Thrones and Quentin Tarantino’s new film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Ultimately, it looks like our binge-watching habits are about to come out in full force!
