It’s been years in the making but the look book from Rihanna’s collection with LVMH has finally been released.
Low and behold, Rihanna’s actually been testing out her collection for months. So, don’t be surprised if you think you’ve seen a thing or two before. Like Rihanna’s other ventures, she plays the role of muse until the collections are released.
Rihanna told the New York Times that her collection would be, “as disruptive as possible. The brand is not traditional. There is no runway show. It’s a new way of doing things because I believe that this is where fashion is going to go eventually.”
She’s breaking the rules in more ways than one. Breaking away from the norm, the Fenty collection features “untraditional” models to showcase its first look book. The collection is also being released way outside of the usual calendar set subconsciously in place by the fashion industry.
Rihanna is the first women of colour to lead a LVMH brand.
