FIB’s Picks For Your 2019 Winter Wardrobe

This post isn’t about Game of Thrones but I’m still going to say, “winter is coming” … and instead of following up with something about the Stark family, I ask you this – are you dressed for it? Predicting trends is what the fashion game is all about and lucky for you, FIB is here to help you plan your winter wardrobe for the season to come.

Personally, I think nothing can touch a great winter wardrobe; the coats, the knits, the boots – why does summer fashion even bother? Like any season though, there are always going to be trends that set the standard for everyone and 2019 will be no different. So, what do you need need need in your wardrobe for this winter?

1. Supersize Me! (Or Just My Coat)

Time to do away with anything that hugs that bod of yours because we’re looking for a coat that hangs, drapes, pretty much drowns you in its “chicness”. The bigger the better and we are all here for that. Snug as a bug!

2. The Clash of the Prints

Don’t be scared to pair your prints this winter. They don’t need to match, in fact the more they clash the better! Express yourself with those crazy prints and see which ones really work together. It may hurt your eyes but at least it’s not hurting your trendy rep.

3. Feminine Vibes All Around

This winter lean a little more into your girly side, bring out those romantic pieces; the corsets, the lace, the pastels, the florals. Make yourself swoon – be the Juliette to your own Romeo this season.

4. Capes Aren’t Just for Superheros!

Don’t for one second believe that just because Edna Mode à la The Incredibles says, “no capes!” means you have to abide by that rule. I mean, who doesn’t want to be warm AND look like a trendy superhero?

Winter fashion is always fun, but these new trends are going to make 2019 a wardrobe to remember! I know I will be forevermore pining over that houndstooth Chanel coat on Cara Delevingne.
