English fashion icons, Tan France and Alexa Chung have been given the green light to commence working on a new fashion competition, titled Next in Fashion. While the idea behind the new series gives us major Project Runway vibes, the series will no doubt hold its own.

The competition-style reality show will feature 18 designers, who have to battle it out through challenges based on trends and design elements. Unlike Project Runway, the designers on Next in Fashion will all have industry experience, having all worked for major fashion houses or celebrities.

The winner of Next in Fashion will receive a very generous prize for their efforts; $250,000 USD in prize money and an exclusive collection with Net-A-Porter.

France and Chung are hosts and judges, who will be joined by an additional panel of guest judges. While permanent judges are yet to be confirmed, Instagram’s Eva Chen and celebrity stylist Elizabeth Stewart are rumoured to appear once or twice.

Netflix hasn’t revealed any additional details surrounding the release date or season/ episode length but an Instagram account has been created for audiences to get all their pre-show fashion goodness and to stay updated when new information is dropped.
