A$AP Rocky was arrested on the 2nd of July following his performance at Stockholm’s Smash Festival. The arrest is in relation to videos that had emerged online of Rocky and his crew in a physical altercation with two unknown men. Following the release of the video by TMZ, Rocky posted two videos on his own social media that act to prove that he was acting in self-defense.

The initial charge was aggravated assault, however that has since been revised and Rocky is being charged with assault. This is a crucial detail for Rocky as the maximum sentence for aggravated assault is six years in prison.

Now, details are emerging of Rocky being held in inhumane conditions without access to his American Consulate agent. This is a direct violation of the Vienna Convention for Consular Relations. Rocky has since met with an American Consulate agent, who TMZ have reported to have described walking in to the prison as “…like walking in to a toilet.”

Insider reports have stated that Rocky went days eating only an apple a day due to other food being inedible. Additionally, the water has been reported as undrinkable and the prison has been labelled as “disease ridden.”

Rocky will be held for a minimum of two weeks from the 5th July while the charges are processed as he has been deemed as a flight risk by Swedish courts. During this time, he will be missing multiple tours dates that were a part of his Injured Generation Tour.
