Taking inspiration from Taylor Swifts latest album Lover, Stella McCartney joined forces with the pop sensation on a limited-edition read-to-wear and accessory line titled ‘StellaxTaylorSwift’.
On Tuesday the duo revealed the look book online, giving fans of both artists a glimpse of the romantic collection.
“#StellaxTaylorSwift is coming soon,” Swift wrote on social media Tuesday. “It’s been SO much fun to work/dream up cute stuff with my friend @stellamccartney to create a line inspired by my new album Lover.”
The merchandise side of the line includes sweatshirts, jackets, t-shirts, bags and a reusable water bottle – most of which feature lyrics from Swift’s album. Filled with graffiti font, hearts, whimsical patterns, pastel-hues and even Swift’s cat, Benjamin Button – this collaboration was a no brainer according to McCartney in an interview with Vogue.
“After Taylor played me the entire album it gave me such incredible inspiration for the collaboration and it really revolved around the music…what I love is how we really complement each other in what we generate creatively together.”
The collaboration will also include an exclusive line consisting of a bomber jacket and bag for $1995 and $795 respectively.
Staying true to her honourable ways, Stella McCartney used sustainable and ethical techniques in the production of this line. Organic fabrics, leather made from vegetable waste oils and recycled polyester, and of course included an eco-friendly water bottle in the drop.
Along with Swift’s much anticipated 7th album, fans can sing-along to her next romantic hit while wearing the collaborations equally dreamy clothing.
