In its third year NYE In The Park continues to excite Sydney locals with a tip top line up and have just announced the Jungle Giants will be a final addition in a line up that will celebrate an end to 2010s.
With Lost Paradise being cancelled due to dire concerns of the recent bushfires, new years eve punters might be pitching into NYE In The Park as a last minute resort.
The festival is situated at Victoria Park which is within the proximity of the University of Sydney and the suburb Broadway. This year’s line up is something that shouldn’t be easily ignored. While 2018’s lineup had smashing performances by The Presets, Hayden James, Hot Time Dub Machine and Thundamentals (To name a few) the line up this year looks tasty.
Returning to NYE on the park for the second time is the Jungle Giants who have announced on their Instagram that while they were devastated about their set being cancelled in this year’s Lost Paradise due to the heavy fires, NYE In The Park organisers have added them to the bill at the last minute. The band are expected to be playing halfway through the festival set.

We were so devastated to hear about Lost Paradise being cancelled due to fires. So many people have been messaging us wondering what we could do to replace the show around NSW, and we are stoked to announce that we GOT SOMETHIN FOR YA. The good people at @nyeinthepark have invited us to last minute join their line up in Sydney and we are so happy to be able to fit one last one in for 2019. See you there x
Indie favourite The Jungle Giants have been on high this year with releasing their new single ‘Heavy Hearted’ which came out in August and followed with a national tour in October . The single has been their latest material in over two years since their third album Quiet Ferocity which came out in 2017.
‘Heavy Hearted’ doesn’t disappoint fans, rather fueling their curiosity in how the band’s musical direction is changing and evolving into a more indie dance pop sound which could be sensed in Quiet Ferocity. The band’s stylistic dynamic continues to develop to new bounds since their successful She’s A Riot EP and their debut album Learn to Exist.
Major Artists To Look Forward to at NYE In The Park 2019
Top contenders to look out for will be electronic hip hop duo Hermitude, electro trio SAFIA, 80’s inducing suave duo Client Liaison and throwback classic act Sneaky Sound System.
Split between two stages called the Amphitheater and the Jungle Stage, Hermitude and Young Franco will be ushering in the new year with a bang.
