Kojima Production updated its official merchandise store today with Two new items in the style of Kojima productions debut release Death Stranding. Both show a blue back-lit continental Australia with holographic energy shooting beams that connect the major cities of the country to the world, with the words Connect for Australia to push the positive message the merch plans to spread.

The Shirt will set you back a measly $25, but if you’re strapped for cash and want to contribute you can donate a single dollar and receive an avatar for your PSN account. If you feel you want to donate more the avatar has a pay what you like function, so every base is covered.

All funds raised will go to the RSPCA to help provide equipment, supplies, and boarding when necessary. There is also an importance on helping relocate and service wildlife in Bushfire affected areas.

The RSPCA said on their official Bushfire Relief page…

“Once the active fire zones clear, that’s when our most challenging work begins. The RSPCA, working alongside government and emergency agencies, veterinarians and local authorities, will begin the difficult job of entering affected areas to identify and assess injured animals. Our work will continue for months after the fires have ceased. Your help will allow us to continue to respond to emergencies and help us assist animals and communities in need.”

“We here at Kojima Productions wanted to help Australia recover from the bushfires that began at the end of last year… All profits generated through the sale of the T-shirt will be donated to The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA)” the company announced on twitter, to a flurry of replies from fans who posted gifs of Kojima created characters celebrating the decision. The big wigs Hideo Kojima and Death Stranding producer Kenichiro Imaizumi even posed on twitter in their new attire to support the project.

The effects of the Australian bushfires have created a ripple effect across the globe and the outreach from the gaming industry has been phenomenal. Late last year Infinity Ward renamed there ‘Outback Pack’ in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to the ‘Outback Relief Pak’ and donating net proceeds to the bushfire related services.

Ubisoft Australia donated $30,000 AUD to the Red cross, while Bungie donated earnings from their ‘Guardians for Australia’ campaign in which they also sold limited-time merchandise, to the NSW Rural Fire Service and WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc). These companies are just a drop in the ocean, next to the numerous auctions, and charity live-streams that have helped provide relief for bushfire affected areas.

The Connect for Australia campaign is the product of the month in the Kojima Production store, so grab it while you can here, and show your support for Aussie wildlife.
