Little has been actually been released about the Reunion, leaving the plot, themes and time frame unannounced. We do know that it will be exclusive to HBO Max, who bought the rights to air Friends from Warner Media. The Reunion is said to be an unscripted, one-off special that comes “after 15 years, nine months, and innumerable fan requests from around the globe.” This means it may merely be a Q and A with the stars, or a small envisioning of the characters’ futures, although we definitely know that it will return to the original Friends soundstage on the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank.
Fingers crossed that the Reunion is more than just a Q and A session with the stars, but either way, catch us tuning in with millions of other fans this May.
