French luxury giant Dior has named BLACKPINK’S Jisoo as its new global ambassador for fashion and beauty.
BLACKPINK’S Kim Ji-soo, more well-known to her fanbase by the alias Jisoo, has been busy in recent times. Jisoo has been named as Dior’s new Global Brand Ambassador for fashion and beauty.
Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director at Dior, based her AW21 collection on the South Korean K-pop sensation. Representing the French design house, the 26-year-old it-girl Jisoo shows the camera some love wearing the selected designs.
“The spirit of “liberated femininity channeled and portrayed by Maria Grazia Chiuri,” and the feeling of truly understanding oneself, the brand shared in a statement.”
The AW21 Paris Fashion Week Show
Dior’s AW21 collection at Paris Fashion Week was staged in the Galerie des Glaces at the Palace of Versailles.
Set in a hall of mirrors and entitled Disturbing Beauty, the concept of inner-beauty and understanding rather than confidence via one’s self-image was explored via the show itself.
BLACKPINK’S fanbase, affectionately called Blinks, have watched the group’s fashion sensibilities develop over time.
“So thrilled to join @dior as their new global ambassador for both fashion and beauty!” the singer wrote on Instagram. “I can’t wait for all the exciting work we’ll do together.”
