The season 3 trailer for Netflix’s original series You has been released on social media. Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg and Victoria Pedretti as Loe Quinn are back in the renewed season of the hit psychological thriller drama. Many fans and followers have expressed their excitement for the new season.
The trailer starts with the couple after leaving the city at the end of Season 2. The ‘killer’ couple struggle with suburban life as they continue to deal with their impulses while trying to appear normal. The renewed season of You reintroduces Joe and Love as the couple tries to build their life for the baby.
Be that as it may, we see that Joe Goldberg does not change and goes back to his obsessive habits as he falls for his neighbour. As for his partner, Love, her impulsiveness ruins her marriage as her jealousy takes over into her own destructive behaviour. The dark secrets of the couple force them to stay together. Penn Badgley’s character, Joe, admits in the Netflix thriller’s just-released trailer,
“In my history of scared, this is the most scared I’ve ever been.”
Then in a violent turn, we see Joe in his infamous glass cage before wrapping up a dead body. And while Love and Joe finally decide to go to couples’ counselling, it seems like it may be too good to be true for them to perfectly get along. The trailer also shows a chilling scene in which they are burying a dead body while their baby is cooing nearby. They really are not holding back for this season.
The cast list for season 3 looks like Badgley, Pedretti, and Burrows are the only main cast who are appeared in season 2. But, as is the theme of the season, Joe’s past has a way of catching up with him. We wouldn’t be surprised if some of the You season 2 cast come back in the new season.
So far it looks like Jenna Ortega, who played Ellie last season, is not going to be in season 3. Adwin Brown, Robin Lord Taylor, Charlie Bartnett, Marielle Scott, and Melanie Field are also not on the season 3 cast.
Season 3 of You is set for release on October 15.
