Jeff Daniel Phillips, Sheri Moon Zombie, and Dan Roebuck are set to star as Herman, Lily, and Grandpa in Rob Zombie’s The Munsters.
Rob Zombie shared the first look at his The Munsters remake cast in full costume in honour of the Halloween season. The series only aired on CBS from 1964 to 1966. But remains one of the most iconic sitcoms ever made.
The Munsters parodied suburban life in America by following well-known monsters as they attempt to lead a normal life. The main characters were parents Herman Munster (Frankenstein’s monster), Lily Munster (a vampire), and grandfather Count Dracula.
The Munster family’s home at 1313 Mockingbird Lane has been re-built in Hungary.
Zombie has previously teased glimpses of the Victorian home on social media. This is the first full image of the reimagined house. Production has actually built the entire fictional neighbourhood of Mockingbird Heights.
So far, diehard fans seem to be happy with the direction Zombie and his cohorts are heading in. The horror aficionado has notably been sharing The Munsters reboot content in black-and-white, causing speculation as to whether his film will have the same aesthetic as the original 60s series.
In the meantime, fans can keep refreshing his social media feed to get sneak peeks.
