Since January 2021, Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian have been dating. The decade-long friends got engaged in October 2021. Barker proposed by the beach in Montecito, California. While in Sin City for the Grammys last weekend, the pair used the opportunity to sneak away for a secret late-night wedding ceremony in Vegas. Now people are asking, is the marriage real, or were they playing out a Vegas wedding fantasy?

The PDA obsessed couple were so keen to tie the knot in an authentic Vegas-style elopement that they didn’t even bother to change out of the outfits they wore to the 64th Grammy Awards.

“They were dressed with what they had on at the Grammys,”

One Love Wedding Chapel owner Marty Frierson Reports to People Magazine. “They came, got married, tossed the bouquet in the driveway, and danced to Elvis. It was over in about 30 minutes.” Says Frierson.

“They showed a lot of love and had a lot of fun.”

He says.

Love Affair

Per US, the dynamic duo purchased the One Love Affair package, which Frierson describes as a “basic” option, noting that the pair did not make use of the chapel’s photography services. “They were filming everything,” Frierson tells US. “I was not allowed to take pictures or videos.” He confirms that they had three friends and a security guard with them. The ceremony was filmed using their iPhones.

However, their marriage is only, really, a union of hearts. According to Page Six, there is nothing legal about it.

“The pair, who reportedly tied the knot in Las Vegas after the Grammys Sunday, had a ceremony but there was nothing legal about it, as they never got a marriage license, sources familiar with the situation told us.”

The Love Chapel

Further investigation from the tabloid reveals that Clark County records for marriage licenses and certificates proved that the couple never applied for or received one.

And it appeared that the One Love Chapel, open 24 hours for quickie weddings, made an exception for the A-list couple, as its website notes that it won’t conduct a ceremony without a marriage license.

Baby Speculation

In a further display of dedication and commitment, when Kardashian posted a selection of photos from their night at the Academy Awards on her Instagram last week, Barker wrote, “You are everything.”

This caused multiple fans to comment, in light of their shotgun wedding. “Congratulations on the wedding,” but with a more pressing follow up, “Are you pregnant?” Leading to speculation that the quickie wedding may have something to do with a baby Kravis on the way!

Could this be yet another new addition to the Kardashian Empire? With the famous reality series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians premiering on Hulu, April 14th, the timing would be perfect. If the rumours turn out to be true, all we can say is this… Kris Jenner couldn’t have planned it better herself!
