CAN WE KEEP UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS? AFTER A SHORT-LIVED FAREWELL, THEY’RE BACK (AGAIN)

Just when you thought the drama was over. Less than six months after the farewell of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians”, the famous family have announced the release of a new collaboration with Hulu. Whether you love them or hate them, it looks like the family are slowly carving out a permanent space in popular culture.

Apparently, the family were having trouble keeping up with themselves. The brand new show’s title, “The Kardashians”, keeps us forever intertwined in the ‘everyday’ occurrences of this Hollywood Fam (minus the keeping up). OG fans get the opportunity to see a different side to the Kardashian-Jenner clan, featuring the newest scenarios life throws at them. The family has committed to forty episodes thus far, and the first few are already available to stream on Disney Plus in Australia.

So What’s New?

Apparently, the Hulu/Disney Plus exclusive delves deep into the new relationship of the eldest, Kourtney and Travis Barker. Kim’s controversial relationship with Pete Davidson. Khloe’s controversial relationship with Tristan Thompson. They may have a new running theme.

On a more serious note, the clan are also devoted business people (obviously). This is in addition to their status as loving families, with an ongoing (semi) relatable stream of ensuing drama. The show is positioning itself to receive a positive review from Australian viewers.

In the coming episodes, past reputations are keen to be forgotten as they explore the more serious job of living as a Kardashian-Jenner business woman. Hopefully, this highlights how women have the power to do just about anything they put their minds to – famous or not. According to People.com, Variety quoted that,

“The all-new reality program had the biggest U.S premiere in the streaming services history”.

If that is not a big enough indication of the show’s future success, then we should all be glad Disney Plus was able to pick it up for loyal Australian fans.

According to Momager Kris Jenner, she expects the family to be thriving in this new chapter. Quoting,

“Doing what we love to do and being exactly where we’re supposed to be.”

Furthermore, successful businesswoman, Kim, is keeping fans on their toes with the exciting thought of ‘The Lord’, Scott Disick’s return to the screen alongside the family.

In contrast to their previous show, the family is taking this new step as a re-start and re-fresher for their onscreen lives. The Kardashian-Jenner women agreed to take time off after “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” to regain some clarity. It seems that once the cameras were turned off, the family was able to refocus. Now fans get the chance to catch up on the crazy lives these women have made for themselves.

Is Calmness Overrated?

In addition to the drama, fans need to peel away the layers and realise that the family is just that – a family. There is no denying that the show may not get views without drama. However, a glance into traditional family life may be just what the public needs to truly relate to the wealthy Hollywood gals.
