“SPIDERMAN”, “EUPHORIA” AND “NO WAY HOME” ARE BIGGEST WINNERS AT MTV MUSIC AWARDS 2022

This past Sunday, was the 2022 edition of the MTV Movie & TV Awards. Vanessa Hudgens and Tayshia Adams hosted the show.

The MTV Competition Recap:

27 Golden Popcorn buckets were given out during Sunday’s ceremony. The most nominated movie & TV shows were Spider-Man: No Way Home and Euphoria, with seven nominations each. They were followed by The Batman (4 nominations) and Loki, The Lost City, Selling Sunset, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Summer House (3 nominations each).

It’s no surprise that Spider-Man: No Way Home and Euphoria won the best picture. The other movies competing for best picture were Scream, The Batman, The Adam Project, Shang-Chi, and The Legend of the Ten Rings and Dune. Inventing Anna, Loki, Squid Game, Ted Lasso, and Yellowstone were competing with Euphoria. The award for Best Movie was presented by another fellow superhero: Chris Evans (Captain America).

Tom Holland won best performance in a movie for his role in No Way Home. Zendaya won best performance in a show for her role in Euphoria. Quite the power couple! They both accepted their awards via video call.

Jennifer Lopez received the Generation Award because she not only “helped define a generation, but she’s inspired one.” The pop star was fighting back the tears when accepting her trophy.

Daniel Radcliffe won Best Villain for his role in The Lost City. He talked about his accent in his acceptance speech, saying that “this is the universally recognized accent of pure evil.”
