Anne Hathaway has had a host of fashion bigs in the last few months, with writers fangirling her outfit at the Cannes Film Festival recently. Recently in Paris, she unveiled Bvlgari’s latest jewellery collection, wearing an outfit straight from Valentino’s spring/summer 2022 Rendez-vous runway. Around her neck sat a sparkling diamond choker from the collection. Her look was absolutely flawless, both conforming to current fashion trends but also having an edge with bold colour choices and styles. It didn’t detract from the main game: the jewellery. Instead, Valentino took second place acting as an accessory to the bling.
Anne’s stylist is Erin Walsh. She’s not doing it for the media reaction. She says “To do it for the response isn’t necessarily the point” in an interview with WWD. Erin is based in Los Angeles and boasts clients like Sarah Jessica Parker, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Grace Elizabeth amongst others.
Steering away from having her own signature look she leans to her clients for looks that are theirs. This sends us back to Hathaway, and her innate fashion sense recently. According to Walsh, it’s Hathaway’s ability to ‘just get it’. She has an ‘encyclopaedic brain that knows what might resonate for a particular occasion.’ And when you can accessorise Bvlgari diamond chokers with Valentino, who’s complaining?
