SAUDI CROWN PRINCE RELEASES FURTHER DETAILS ON THE WORLD’S LONGEST SKYSCRAPER CITY

Crown Prince Mohammed reveals that NEOM, the world’s first zero carbon city, is about prioritising health over transport and infrastructure.  NEOM’s design blends seamlessly into the landscape, with mirroring along the facade to reflect the nature that surrounds it. And nature is a priority for NEOM, because with just a 34 square metre footprint, connecting to the outdoors has never been easier. 95% of NEOM’s land is preserved for accessing the outdoors.

In a world first, the city is set to use 100% renewable energy and have no cars, no roads, and no emissions. This is due to the forward-thinking of the Crown Prince’s team of world-class engineers, architects, and urban planners. In line with his passion, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is providing solutions to some of the key problems facing the world.

NEOM plans to house over 9 million people. Residents are going to be able to access all facilities from home within five minutes. This is due to the vertical living design.  Even getting from end to end of the city is going to be quick; with the trip taking only twenty minutes via rail. Neom’s statistics redefine urban living. And give an idea what cities of the future should look like. His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Chairman of the NEOM Company Board of Directors explains,

At NEOM’s launch last year, we committed to a civilization revolution that puts humans first based on a radical change in urban planning. The designs revealed today for the city’s vertically layered communities will challenge the traditional flat, horizontal cities and create a model for nature preservation and enhanced human liability. NEOM will tackle the challenges facing humanity in urban life today and will shine a light on alternative ways to live.
