They’re creepy and they’re kooky. Mysterious and spooky. The classic Addams Family is back after 30 years! Netflix put out the trailer earlier this month. And the series premieres in November.
Netflix drops the new Addams Family trailer at New York Comic Con. It also reveals that the comedian star, Fred Armisen is playing the pale Uncle Fester. The series will be on Netflix from November 23 with 8 episodes launching worldwide.
The modern Addams family, Wednesday, is directed by the famous Tim Burton. The young YOU actress Jenna Ortega is the title role, Wednesday Addams.
Other members of Wednesday’s family are Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams.
Big names such as Thora Birch and Gwendoline Christie take part in the series as well.
In the trailer, Netflix teases Christina Ricci, who originally played the young Wednesday Addams in 1991’s “The Addams Family” and 1993’s “Addams Family Values” films.
The return of Ricci’s role was uncertain, but now we can finally make sure of her appearance. Ricci will play a teacher at Nevermore Academy.
There are other things that happened in the trailer.
Due to someone calling her a freak, Wednesday takes revenge. She gets expelled from the former high school. And about to start a new life at Nevermore Academy.
The trailer is full of darkness and creepiness already. The way how Tim Burton combines the classic Addams family story and his unique style is exciting to see.
“Wednesday is currently a teenager. Her snarky, snide remarks might not necessarily sound as charming when they’re coming from somebody who should probably know better than a 10-year-old girl.” Jenna Ortega says.
“There’s an opportunity to give her a bit more dimension, and she becomes a bit more of a real person, which I don’t think we’ve ever seen before.”
Take a look at the trailer. Seeing how the new Addams family – Wednesday and other family members live their lives in their odd and mysterious way in modern society.
