Dune: Part 2 takes us back to the sandy deserts of Arrakis. Based on the 1965 novel of the same name by Frank Herbert,  Dune: Part 2 continues the adventures of Paul Atreides in the desert world of Arrakis. While little is known yet, several images were released by Vanity Fair. They not only confirm the return of several characters from the previous film, but also confirm the addition of a few new ones along with who will be playing them. The hints they give offer us a taste of what to expect from the upcoming science fiction thriller upon its release. Denis Villeneuve will return to direct the sequel, having directed the first film.

Synopsis

Dune: Part 2 continues from where Dune (2021) left off. On the run, fugitive Paul (Timothée Chalamet) and his mother Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) have been accepted by the girl Chani (Zendaya) and the desert wondering Fremen. However, the evil House Harkonnen continues to expand their control across the planet in search of spice, a substance that makes Arrakis the most valuable planet in the galaxy. Furthermore, a dark future looms in the distance that only Paul can foresee. Determined to defeat those hunting them, Paul will have to rely on his messiah-like gifts to exact his revenge.

This follow-up film will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.
