ANGELINA JOLIE COLLABORATES WITH CHLOÉ FOR “ATELIER JOLIE”

This exciting new venture for actress / activist Angelina Jolie sees her breaks into the world of fashion design. In an inaugural collaboration with French Fashion House, Chloé, we’ll see Atelier Jolie come to life in late 2023.

The ready-to-wear collection draws inspiration from Angelina Jolie and her personal wardrobe; with monochromatic and minimal designs. The pieces aim to celebrate femininity with “fluid silhouettes and tactile details”. The collection exudes the aura of the modern authentic woman.

This partnership is one of the last for Chloé creative director, Gabriela Hearst. She makes a rumoured exit from the brand after three years and in doing so states:

“From the moment I heard about Angelina’s vision for Atelier Jolie, I believed in it. It is a way to elevate others through the beauty of garment-making and her deep respect for the environment. It’s an honour for me that Chloe will be the first collaborator for Atelier Jolie, as both have high ideals for the betterment of our species. That is the reason why I love both Angelina and Chloe so deeply,”

Atelier Jolie plans to focus on low-impact materials such as leftovers, vintage and deadstock. This is an effort to reduce waste and contribute to circular fashion according to the website statement.

“You will be able to repair or upcycle pieces from your closet you wish to revive, perfecting fit, breathing new life into what could have been thrown away, and creating quality heirloom garments with personal meaning.”

In addition, as one of the few Certified B luxury brands, Chloé meets the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance and public transparency. Hopefully Hearst’s well-known emphasis on sustainability at Chloé equally reflects in the collaboration.
