Beloved personality Angus Cloud has been declared dead as of the 31st of July 2023. Cloud, known for his first and only role as Fezco “Fez” O’Neill, a local drug dealer, in HBO’s Euphoria, has reportedly passed only a week after his fathers funeral.
While there’s no public cause for his death, TMZ reports that the Oakland Police and the fire department were called around 11:30am on Monday by Cloud’s mother. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Speculations of drug overdose are circulating the media.
The likelihood of suicide doesn’t seem unreasonable considering the strain of his fathers death. A source close the family says that “Angus had been battling severe suicidal thoughts after getting back from Ireland, where they laid his father to rest”.
His family has asked that the actor be remembered for his “humour, laughter and love for everyone”.
HBO has also released a public statement; announcing, “We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”
As a result of Clouds death, many fans are arguing for the cancellation of the popular TV Show, Euphoria. Stating that the show will be nothing without his screen presence. Comments online such as “i don’t wanna watch euphoria 3 anymore”. Others saying “can’t imagine the show without fexi” – Clouds on-screen romance with Lexi Howard, played by Maude Apatow.

The two bonded closely over the months of filming, claiming that their on-screen chemistry is closely linked to their off-screen friendship. “Angus and I, in real life, have a funny friendship. It all just happened. It all felt right as soon as we started talking about it” Maude told Entertainment Weekly in February 2022.
She continues on saying “I think it is just very refreshing when the relationship feels so like innocent and sweet, like in the last episode they don’t even kiss. They just hold hands, and it’s building really slowly”. Tragically, we’ll never get to see their on-screen romance or real-life friendship develop any further.
We only hope his friends, family, and cast mates can work through this immense loss and reach out when they need to.
