Cornwall, Callinan and… Crack DeMarco?

What in the world do you get when you stick Sticky Fingers guitarist Paddy J. Cornwall, Australian solo artist Kirin J Callinan and Canadian cruiser Mac DeMarco in a room? Thanks to a series of coded Instagram posts, that has been the question on many lips this week. And well… the result has many of us perplexed.

Name a more unexpected trio, I’ll wait.

I mean, Kirin J Callinan is no stranger to unexpected collaborations, having previously partnered up with Aussie rock royalty Jimmy Barnes to produce a viral hit titled ‘Big Enough’. Now it seems as though the controversial artist may well have something extra spicy in the works with crooner Mac DeMarco.

Evidenced in various Instagram posts posted throughout the week, the three blokes have been busy drinking beer, dishing out haircuts and jamming up a storm. This has sent the comments section in to a frenzy of speculation as to whether or not they’re going to collaborate… and yep, sure enough, they have. It’s, ahhh, interesting… to say the least.

The four-minute-long freestyle produced by Crack DeMarco consists of a sultrily toned Paddy Cornwall rambling on the mic. The seemingly impromptu film clip is the perfect depiction of what’s been happening over in L.A; max relaxation with mates is all it seems to be, and the above film clip seems to sum it all up!

What’s probably most perplexing, though, is that Paddy has time to kick back after the recent Sticky Fingers comeback and world tour announcement?

I certainly wouldn’t be complaining if these guys happened to release a single, however it does seem highly unlikely. But if Callinan of all people can wrangle Barnesy in for a hit then anything’s possible, really.

Do you think something will come out of this totally cooked collaboration?
